At Lonza Biologics Inc., we are looking for an Associate Director, Project Delivery UK to lead investment projects through the complete pathway from engineering to qualification in our North Lincolnshire area facilities. This onsite role is responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to required quality standards, while upholding our core values of inclusion, integrity, innovation, and initiative.
What You'll Do
- Ensure compliance with all pertinent safety policies, rules, and regulations.
- Execute the technical part of CAPEX projects according to budget, scope, and on-time deliverables.
- Create and implement engineering and project plans through the Engineering, Design, Construction, Commissioning, and Qualification phases.
- Coordinate and manage engineering work and project teams to ensure efficient collaboration.
- Regularly monitor project progress, ensuring it stays on track and identifying potential issues.
- Establish and manage relationships with vendors and contractors to secure high-quality work and meet project timelines.
- Effectively communicate and ensure understanding of Lonza technical standards through project-specific technical standards.
- Tackle complex technical problems that arise during project execution.
- Ensure all technical aspects meet regulatory requirements, including Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and other industry standards.
What We're Looking For
- A Master’s Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or a related science discipline.
- Proven experience in project engineering and project management for chemical manufacturing, biochemical, or pharmaceutical industries, including international experience.
- Technical knowledge across various engineering disciplines in a pharmaceutical environment, including clean and black utilities, process, automation, instrumentation, and civil engineering.
- Proven experience in cost control and scheduling for investment projects.
- Experience in the engineering aspects of facility design to build compliant and cost-effective plants.
- Knowledge of modern CQV (Commissioning, Qualification, Validation) approaches to minimize the time from construction completion to routine production while maintaining compliance.
- Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Professional proficiency in English.
