Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive cost management throughout all project stages, ensuring consistency with defined scope, budget, and timeline for large-scale data center developments and additional sectors.
- Create and update detailed cost models, estimates, and forward-looking projections using technical drawings and industry standards.
- Manage change management processes, including evaluation and negotiation of variations, tracking of post-contract financial deviations, and enforcement of commercial controls.
- Review contractor and subcontractor pricing, validate scope alignment, and support procurement strategy design; advise on contracting methods and capital planning at program level.
- Collaborate with scheduling teams to align cost projections with project timelines and key milestones.
- Serve as the main contact for commercial reporting; prepare and deliver monthly cost analyses, executive summaries, and financial updates to stakeholders.
- Lead client and consultant engagement across project lifecycles; maintain clear communication and cultivate strong relationships with project teams, vendors, and decision-makers.
- Conduct cost risk assessments, scenario modeling, and sensitivity evaluations; track market shifts and report on labor supply, material costs, and price escalation trends.
- Design and implement strategies to improve cost efficiency, including value engineering initiatives to lower lifecycle expenses and improve project outcomes.
- Define and monitor performance using KPIs and success metrics; present findings and progress updates to senior management.
- Oversee financial tracking through internal platforms, managing margins, forecasts, and reporting workflows; apply Business Management Systems and delivery frameworks to uphold best practices.
- Identify improvements to cost management processes, templates, and digital tools; promote knowledge sharing by documenting lessons and critical project data.
- Provide strategic leadership to teams, set clear objectives, mentor junior staff, conduct performance evaluations, and promote a collaborative, high-performance environment.
- Represent the organization as a trusted advisor; grow market insight, cultivate new business leads, and identify cross-service opportunities.
- Support proposal development and RFP submissions; attend industry events to strengthen visibility and expand professional networks.
