TaxValet is looking for an Associate (Data Analyst) to join our team and contribute to public sector transformation. You will clean and analyze data, create visuals, conduct research, and communicate insights to generate evidence for greater impact.

What You'll Do

Collect, store, clean, transform and conduct quality checks to ensure data is accurate for analysis.
Analyze data to extract actionable insights and recommendations and visualize it for decision making.
Model data to identify patterns and forecast future trends using advanced analytical and statistical techniques.
Write, visualize and communicate clearly, turning complex problems into clear memos and structured slides.
Work effectively on fast-moving projects, bringing clear structure and planning to day-to-day work.
Solve problems by breaking them down, identifying root causes, and developing hypotheses and solutions.
Stay focused, navigating complexity and steering coalitions back to a focus on priority outcomes.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s degree.
2-4 years of relevant, full time work experience in analytics, data science, economics, and/or program evaluation.
Quantitative analysis skills, demonstrated experience with statistics, econometrics and/or data science techniques.
Proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets.
Knowledge of data warehousing solutions, big data, machine learning and/or the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools for data processing.
Demonstrated comfort using or learning GenAI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini).
Ability to translate AI capabilities into responsible, real-world applications in a public sector or mission-driven context.
Business-level English and Portuguese skills required.
Must be based in and have work authorization in Brazil. Delivery Associates will not sponsor applicants for work visas.

Nice to Have

Experience with programming/econometrics software (Stata, R, Python) preferred.
Knowledge of visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI), a plus.
