NYU Langone Health is hiring an Assistant to Course Instructor to support CAMS Course Instructors at the New York University College of Arts and Sciences. You will assist instructors in implementing curriculum and provide direct supervision and instructional support to undergraduate students through weekly recitations and office hours.
What You'll Do
- Conduct a weekly 75-minute recitation session to supplement a semester-long undergraduate lecture class.
- Assist with grading assignments and exams and manage correspondence, attendance, and the course Blackboard website.
- Provide opportunities for student advisement and hold weekly office hours.
- Perform managerial, organizational, and instructional tasks as directed by the lead instructor.
- Communicate regularly with the course instructor and, as needed, with the CAMS coordinator and Department Director.
What We're Looking For
- Completion of all required credits needed to obtain an undergraduate degree.
- Extensive academic experience in psychology or closely related areas.
- Substantial knowledge of the specific course subject matter.
Nice to Have
- An advanced terminal graduate degree (e.g., M.F.A., M.P.H., M.S.W., etc.).
Team & Environment
You will teach under the direct supervision of the CAMS Course Instructor and the Director of Undergraduate Studies for CAMS.
