West Virginia University is hiring an Assistant Professor for a full-time clinical or tenure-track faculty position within the Department of Periodontics. You will join a dedicated team at the School of Dentistry, contributing to our mission of education and healthcare.
What You'll Do
- Perform didactic and clinical teaching at both pre-doctoral and post-doctoral levels.
- Provide patient care within the scope of periodontics.
- Engage in scholarly activity to advance the field.
- Contribute service to the University, the School of Dentistry, and the community.
What We're Looking For
- A D.D.S. or D.M.D. degree from an accredited U.S. or Canadian dental school or foreign equivalent.
- Satisfactory completion of a CODA-accredited postgraduate program in Periodontics.
- Eligibility for a West Virginia dental license or teaching permit.
- Board certified or board eligible for the American Board of Periodontology at the time of appointment.
- Expertise in all aspects of periodontal therapy, implant surgery, and advanced reconstructive procedures.
- Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Leadership skills.
- A strong commitment to diversity and social justice.
Team & Environment
You will be part of the Department of Periodontics within the School of Dentistry at the Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center.
