Canada Post is hiring an Assistant in a Post Office to provide essential customer service and operational support in Saanichton, British Columbia. This role is central to our promise of connecting communities, and we are looking for a candidate who resides in the local area. You will be the face of Canada Post, ensuring our customers receive efficient, helpful, and reliable service.
What You'll Do
- Sell postal products and services to businesses and the public.
- Sort, distribute, and process mail correctly.
- Provide customers with information and necessary forms.
- Handle delivery and service difficulties to resolve problems quickly and completely.
What We're Looking For
- A high school diploma or provincial equivalent, or relevant business administration experience.
- Training and/or experience in public interaction within retail and/or service environments, including sales and cash transactions.
- An understanding of standard accounting systems or post office operations.
- Physical fitness to lift mail containers weighing up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, sort mail, and stand for long periods.
- Flexibility to be available for temporary on-call tasks.

Benefits & Compensation
- Hourly wage: $20.54 per hour.
