Moody's is hiring an Assistant Director - Analytics and Modeling

Moody’s is seeking an Assistant Director - Analytics and Modeling to architect and build secure, modular systems that support advanced AI-driven applications. In this role, you will develop enterprise-grade Generative AI solutions and lead a team of developers.

What You'll Do

• Architect and build secure, modular, and high-performance systems to support advanced AI-driven applications.
• Develop and integrate enterprise-grade Generative AI solutions, leveraging LLMs and frameworks like LangChain.
• Design and maintain backend services and APIs, collaborating closely with frontend teams.
• Work across both frontend and backend components to create cohesive product experiences.
• Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering innovation and promoting engineering best practices.
• Conduct code reviews, manage GitHub repositories, and ensure compliance with CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
• Continuously explore and integrate emerging AI/ML, system design, and cloud technologies.
• Communicate technical strategies and architectural decisions effectively to varied audiences.

What We're Looking For

• 5–6 years of overall experience, including 1–3 years in AI/ML building intelligent applications.
• Strong full stack development expertise with proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, Django, React, and Angular.
• Experience in designing and deploying Generative AI solutions, including LLM-powered chatbots and autonomous agents.
• Solid understanding of system architecture, API design, and scalable cloud-native solutions on Azure or AWS.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, and MongoDB.
• Familiarity with MLOps, LangChain, LangSmith, vector databases, and frameworks for building agentic AI systems.
• Strong system design capabilities, including modular architecture, distributed systems, and high-performance backend APIs.
• Excellent leadership, mentoring, and collaboration skills with the ability to drive best engineering practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
