PG&E is looking for an Asset Strategy Analyst to join our Power Generation team. You will play a key role in developing strategic asset and tactical operating plans, conducting life-cycle economic analyses for major projects, and managing the quality of our long-term investment plan.
What You'll Do
- Conduct fundamental research and prepare reports, charts, presentations, and other materials.
- Assist with composing Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Relicensing applications, General Rate Case (GRC) filings, and other regulatory documents.
- Support economic analysis, forecasting, and trending of projects, operations, maintenance, and investment metrics.
- Document business processes and perform workflow analysis.
- Collect, analyze, and validate data for strategic decision-making.
- Transfer and convert information to and from databases like SAP to support risk assessment and asset strategies.
- Provide support to the Chief of Staff on cross-functional activities such as staff planning, training coordination, and communications.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in electric utility operations, engineering, finance, maintenance, project management, or a related field.
Nice to Have
- Certified Associate in Project Management Professional (CAPM) certification or other PMI certifications.
- One (1) year of experience in electric utility operations, engineering, finance, maintenance, project management, or a related field.
- Fundamental understanding of utility ratemaking principles.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Strong planning, prioritization, time management, and multi-tasking skills with attention to detail and deadlines.
- Problem-solving, mathematical, and statistical analysis capabilities.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook), databases, and information systems like SAP.

Benefits & Compensation
- Bay Area salary range: $73,000-$109,000
- California salary range: $69,000-$104,000
