Derex Technologies Inc is seeking an Area Field Manager to be the local ambassador for the U-Haul brand. You will educate and onboard independent business partners as U-Haul dealers, fostering growth within a specific geographic route around Traverse City, Michigan. This role is central to expanding our network and ensuring exceptional service in the communities we serve.
What You'll Do
- Work with small businesses within your designated route to prospect, open, and grow the U-Haul dealership organization.
- Develop and manage business relationships with small business owners and U-Haul dealerships, providing professional market insight and training for potential growth.
- Manage your route's profit and loss through careful analysis to grow your business through transactions and community service.
- Service and maintain current U-Haul equipment and displays to ensure operational excellence and marketability.
- Collaborate with support staff to ensure the success and efficiency of U-Haul dealerships within your route.
- Operate a properly stocked and maintained U-Haul service vehicle to distribute equipment and perform minor repairs.
- Arrange for the recovery of lost, stolen, or abandoned U-Haul equipment.
- Participate in ongoing continuous education through U-Haul University.
What We're Looking For
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain a good driving record to operate commercial motor vehicles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to obtain a D.O.T. health certificate from a federally registered medical examiner.
