Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze environmental, industry, and socio-economic data to evaluate aquaculture systems and guide sustainable development.
- Apply spatial analysis tools such as ArcGIS, along with programming environments like Python and R, to manage data workflows and generate actionable insights.
- Design and refine methodologies to enhance data processing efficiency and support science-based decision-making.
- Produce technical documentation, peer-reviewed publications, and scientific reports to communicate findings.
- Contribute to funding proposals and support resource development for ongoing and future projects.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external partners to implement and manage research initiatives.
- Present outcomes at scientific forums, workshops, and international conferences.
- Oversee grant and contract administration, including compliance and reporting requirements.

Qualifications
A Master’s degree in a relevant scientific field or equivalent experience is required, along with at least two years of professional experience. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of aquatic ecosystems or aquaculture systems, with proven ability to synthesize and communicate scientific information effectively. Experience leading collaborative teams and preparing technical reports is essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required for engaging diverse audiences.
Preferred candidates will have multilingual abilities and cross-cultural experience. Proficiency in data analysis software is highly valued. A history of peer-reviewed scientific publication is advantageous. Organizational acumen and meticulous attention to detail support success in this role.

Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary for U.S.-based applicants in Arlington, Virginia ranges from $90,300 to $103,785. For others, compensation is aligned with local labor markets.
