As an Applied AI Engineer, you'll leverage cutting-edge generative AI and machine learning techniques to deliver sophisticated solutions for our clients. You'll work directly with customers to comprehend their business and technical requirements, designing and implementing AI solutions using our platform or developing custom approaches. Main Responsibilities: - Partner with customers to build impactful AI solutions, from use case scoping to model deployment - Develop state-of-the-art AI systems including retrieval-augmented generation, fine-tuning pipelines, and prompt engineering - Create augmented datasets and comprehensive evaluation workflows - Manage customer relationships and stakeholder communications - Collaborate with pre-sales and product teams to map customer needs - Standardize solutions and contribute to internal tooling - Educate stakeholders on AI capabilities and limitations - Conduct knowledge transfer workshops - Engage with complex National Security challenges - Potential annual travel up to 25% Preferred Qualifications: - B.S. in quantitative field - 3+ years customer-facing AI/ML solution design experience - Advanced Python proficiency - Comprehensive expertise across Applied AI stack - Experience leading strategic customer initiatives - Outstanding presentation skills - Ability to work in fast-paced environments - Federal procurement documentation experience - Experience with government agencies - Active TS/SCI security clearance preferred Compensation range for Washington D.C. region: $160K - $250K OTE, including equity options.
