Role OverviewThe Application Support Analyst for Charge & Quality Capture is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the performance of critical healthcare data platforms. Working closely with clinical and revenue cycle stakeholders, this role ensures Medaxion, MDClaim+, and related systems operate efficiently and align with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor system health, respond to alerts, and ensure platform stability in line with defined service standards.
- Diagnose, document, and escalate technical issues, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors for timely resolution.
- Support incident management through structured ticketing processes, delivering clear guidance to end users and stakeholders.
- Perform system testing for upgrades, configurations, and new implementations prior to user acceptance phases.
- Assist in evaluating system performance and propose practical improvements to enhance reliability and usability.
- Collaborate with vendors to implement updates, troubleshoot problems, and integrate system enhancements.
- Follow established IT policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and data confidentiality requirements.
- Track key performance indicators such as system uptime and incident resolution times.
- Deliver training and support materials to clinical and revenue cycle staff as needed.
- Contribute to both routine operations and special projects that improve platform functionality.
Qualifications
Required:Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Finance, or a related field, or demonstrate equivalent experience. A minimum of 3–5 years in application support, IT service management, or platform operations is required. Direct experience with Medaxion, MDcloud, or similar EHR and charge capture systems is essential. Candidates should have strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience in system configuration, testing, and troubleshooting is expected. A customer-focused approach and ability to manage multiple priorities in a regulated environment are critical.
Preferred:Familiarity with workflow automation, integration design, or AI-powered support tools is advantageous. Knowledge of ITIL frameworks or experience applying best practices in service delivery is also preferred.
Work Environment
This position supports remote work for candidates residing in the United States, excluding California, Hawaii, and Alaska. Work may be conducted from home or an office setting based on location eligibility.
Compensation & Benefits
The annual salary range for this role is $66,900 to $113,700. Employees may be eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance.
