Agilent Technologies is looking for an Application Engineer – SLIMS to join our team in the Americas. You'll work directly with clients to analyze their needs, configure the SLIMS platform, and build integrations that connect laboratory instruments and workflows. This role involves travel to various labs and offers the opportunity to influence product design based on customer feedback.
What You'll Do
- Analyze customer's needs and translate them into SLIMS workflows.
- Configure the SLIMS platform to match the lab's specific requirements.
- Build plugins for connecting instruments or displaying custom forms and portals.
- Act as the customer voice to influence future product design to meet customer needs.
- Script a lab's in-silico tools into our integration framework.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Life Sciences or equivalent.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in a laboratory environment (analytical, biobanks, pharma, biopharma, genomics, NGS).
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java or Python with proven coding skills.
- Full proficiency in English and French.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new software technologies, instruments, applications, and consumables.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across various organizational levels.
