eBay is hiring an Android Engineer to join our Android team. You will build and deliver innovative experiences for millions of daily active users, directly impacting global commerce. You'll collaborate with backend and cross-functional teams to develop high-quality native applications and advocate for meaningful improvements in our code and culture.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with backend teams to build the next generation of our native application, helping product teams work faster, more efficiently, and with high quality.
- Work closely with teams across eBay on their next-generation features and technology.
- Follow agile practices and focus on continual improvement from the ground up, advocating for improvements in code and culture while supporting your colleagues.
- Work with team members and other teams to divide the workload appropriately.
- Partner and collaborate with other organizations throughout eBay.
- Share knowledge with the wider team and learn about and contribute to our core app experience.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of experience designing, building, refactoring, and releasing native apps.
- Ability to own a feature of an Android application and develop it fully.
- Proven experience with Kotlin/Java.
- Experience with testing, pairing, code reviews, and other techniques to maintain high-quality code and resiliency.
- Working knowledge of modern Android APIs, concurrency/threading, layouts, transitions, animations, client-side persistence, and architectural patterns for mobile apps.
Nice to Have
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in Agile teams.
