In this role, you will be a key contributor to the development and enhancement of Android-based infotainment systems within the automotive domain. You'll work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to design, implement, and optimize Android Framework components tailored for the Android Automotive OS (AAOS). Your responsibilities will span from low-level framework customization and integration of core Android services to ensuring seamless performance and reliability of in-vehicle applications. You will leverage your deep understanding of Kotlin, Android architecture, and system-level programming to deliver robust, scalable, and user-centric solutions. Responsibilities
- Design and sustain Android applications for Android Automotive OS using Kotlin
- Tailor and expand AAOS frameworks to meet project-specific needs
- Integrate Android APIs and system frameworks to ensure reliable in-vehicle functionality
- Enhance app performance for responsive and efficient user experiences
- Diagnose and resolve software issues using debugging tools and methodologies
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of hands-on Android development experience using Kotlin
- Solid grasp of Android framework components and AAOS system architecture
- Proven background in Android app development, including UI/UX design and API integration
- Demonstrated experience customizing and extending AAOS frameworks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in both independent and team settings
Nice to Have
- Background in Android framework-level development and system customization
- Knowledge of automotive industry standards and embedded system requirements
- Proficiency in Java and C++ alongside Kotlin
- Experience in testing, validating, and hardening Android applications and frameworks
