Welltech is hiring an Android Engineer for the Yoga-Go product team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing ambitious products that positively impact the lives of millions of users in the Health & Fitness space.
What You'll Do
- Work with a modern technology stack including Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines and Flow, Jetpack Compose and other Jetpack libraries.
- Participate in the design and development of a mobile app and its integrations with backend systems as part of a cross-functional product-engineering team.
- Contribute to the System Design of the overall product.
- Collaborate with other Engineers to push the boundary of technical excellence across Android and beyond.
- Operate and support systems running in production.
- Implement ideas and have direct impact on millions of users in a customer-centric environment with a high degree of ownership.
What We're Looking For
- Commercial experience in Android development with Kotlin.
- Ability to choose the right tool for each challenge and learn new technologies.
- Ability to highlight risks and propose efficient solutions.
- Experience with design for testability, automated tests, and a willingness to work in an environment where engineers own quality end-to-end.
- Great understanding of OOP, design patterns, and typical architectures, including MVVM/MVI and DI.
- Ability to craft clean, maintainable code.
- Experience with Android Jetpack (Arch components, Compose, Navigation, Room, Hilt, or WorkManager).
- Experience with Kotlin Coroutines.
- Knowledge of Jetpack Compose.
- Experience with Rest API and Retrofit.
- Ability to learn fast, collaborate cross-functionally, and communicate effectively.
- Interest in methodologies that allow fast iterations such as eXtreme Programming, a CI/CD mindset, and TDD.
- Good command of English.
Nice to Have
- Commercial experience with Jetpack Compose.
- Experience with backend development.
