Kindgeek is looking for a part-time Android Developer to develop and maintain the mobile application for a white-label digital banking platform. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and web developers to build a secure, high-performance fintech application.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain a fintech Android application from MVP, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and quality.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define app features and functionalities.
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following industry best practices.
- Implement new features, ensuring stability and enhancing app performance.
- Integrate with third-party APIs, payment gateways, and secure data storage solutions.
- Perform code reviews, participate in technical discussions, and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Continuously evaluate, discover, and implement new technologies to enhance development efficiency.
- Identify and fix bugs, optimize performance, and ensure the app adheres to security and data privacy standards, especially in financial applications.
- Ensure the app complies with Android design guidelines and fintech regulations.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in Android development.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and Java, and experience with Android Studio.
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Jetpack, and ViewModel architecture.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party library integrations.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Strong understanding of security practices, encryption, and data privacy regulations, especially in fintech.
- Knowledge of Material Design Guidelines and best practices for Android UI/UX design.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience preferably with fintech or financial applications.
- Experience with Bluetooth, payment gateway integration, and handling secure financial transactions is a plus.
