Disney is looking for an Analyst-Advanced Analytics & BI to join our Disney Experiences (DX) Marketing organization. In this Data Science and Business Intelligence-focused role, you will develop analyses, predictive models, self-service tools, and dashboards to showcase insights and recommend applications that advance our marketing and audience strategies.
What You'll Do
- Develop tools that showcase insights and business intelligence using SQL & Python within Dataiku, Snowflake, and Tableau environments.
- Build predictive models on guest behavior, such as likelihood to purchase, engage with marketing, or estimated spend.
- Design and conduct statistical experiments, including A/B testing, to measure audience efficiency.
- Mine for insights and conduct analysis of key performance indicators and trends in first- and third-party data.
- Present insights and opportunities to the MGM organization.
- Build data pipelines that transform data into actionable operational dashboards, reports, and tools using data visualization techniques.
- Promote products to production and maintain products in production to ensure availability in activation.
- Leverage tools such as Jira to track and catalog work and communicate progress to leadership.
- Maintain partnerships with key business partners within the MGM organization to identify opportunities to gain and implement intelligence.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in business intelligence technologies, visualizations, best practices, and methodologies.
- 2+ years of experience using programming languages (Python or R preferred) to build predictive models and conduct statistical testing with sound experimental design.
- 2+ years of experience with Machine Learning algorithms and statistical methods including classification models (logistic regression, decision trees) and segmentation models (clustering, scoring).
- Understanding of relational database methodology, data structures, data pipelines, and exploratory querying using SQL and Python.
- Experience with data wrangling using SQL, Python and/or other processing methodologies.
- Experience translating business questions into appropriate analytical products that yield actionable results.
- Demonstrate proficiency with data visualization tools, preferably Tableau.
- Demonstrate strong relationship-building and partnering skills.
- Display strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate technical work to non-technical partners.
- Demonstrate problem-solving, organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and a strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrate an exploration mentality and be willing to be a leader in learning new spaces.
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Analytics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Computer Science or equivalent.
