Guidepoint Insights is looking for an Equity Analyst to support the expansion of research coverage for global private biotech companies. You will play a critical role in building the Guidepoint Library, a central resource of expert-led teleconference transcripts, by developing deep research expertise and ensuring high-quality content creation.
What You'll Do
- Monitor a coverage universe of global private companies within specific therapeutic indications in the biotech sector.
- Track key market and business drivers, including material news flows, earnings releases, investor presentations, clinical trials, medical conferences, and drug launches.
- Create and moderate teleconferences featuring experts from Guidepoint’s network, summarized in high-quality, detailed transcripts.
- Ensure high-quality content creation and editing of teleconference transcripts by summarizing, editing, and vetting key discussion points.
- Collaborate with the Director of Research to drive the growth of Guidepoint’s content library and scale research coverage across multiple industries.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align research initiatives with business objectives and market demands.
- Uphold Guidepoint’s compliance policies by ensuring expert profiles and teleconference content adhere to company protocols.
What We're Looking For
- Ph.D degree in biological sciences or MBBS.
- 6+ years of experience in financial services or investment research covering the Biotech/Pharma sector. Alternatively, 3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech companies on competitive assessment, drug development, or business development.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and analyze pathophysiology of disease, biological rationale of therapeutic targets, clinical data, drug labels, and competitive dynamics.
- Strong understanding of institutional buy-side/sell-side research and investing workflows.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a strong sense of ownership.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with professionals at all levels.
- Intellectual curiosity and a passion for learning about new industries and trends.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
