KLA is looking for an Algorithm Engineering Intern to join the algorithm group in the AI & Modeling Center of Excellence in Ann Arbor, MI. You will develop and integrate algorithms into KLA's reticle inspection platforms, applying your expertise in Image Processing, AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Computer Vision.
What You'll Do
- Contribute to novel image processing, defect detection, analysis, and optimization algorithms by balancing sophistication with computational complexity through data analysis.
- Evaluate and productize deep learning and other novel approaches to complement and improve the performance of existing inspection algorithms.
- Collaborate with software and computer groups to design and implement data management, model training, and inference flows.
- Bring forward creative ideas, develop proof-of-concepts, integrate algorithms into production code, and work with team members in Ann Arbor and on global project teams.
What We're Looking For
- Master's OR PhD Level Degree with a foundation in signal or image processing.
- Academic or work experience in one or more of the following areas: Image Processing, Detection, Image-Based Metrology, Computational Imaging, or Computer Vision.
Nice to Have
- Practical experience with Deep Learning, Machine Learning, or Artificial Intelligence applied to images.
- Experience prototyping algorithms using MATLAB or Python and implementing them using full-stack object-oriented programming in C++ under Linux.
- Familiarity with Linear and Nonlinear Optimization techniques, CUDA/GPU Programming frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow), and Data Analysis and Visualization tools.
- Great teammate with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
