Worldwide Flight Services is hiring an Air Logistics Warehouse Associate to manage the flow of small packages through our air logistics operations. In this hands-on role, you will work in an open-air, uncontrolled temperature environment, moving items by hand and pushcart to support critical shipping timelines.
What You'll Do
- Load and unload package containers by hand and pushcart from warehouse to truck
- Build up package containers ready for outbound flights
- Break down package containers from arriving flights
- Remove tie-downs and other gear when loading and unloading
- Sort, scan, and move small packages within the warehouse
- Operate package handling equipment such as pallet jacks and gaylords
- Check air express containers for proper piece count, weight, dimensions, and documents per safety guidelines
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a similar role
- Valid Driver’s license
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) and holidays. Peak Season (November-December) may require longer hours
- Ability to read, write, and understand the English language
- Ability to understand and react to verbal commands and safety warnings, with and without assistance of sight or visual aids
Nice to Have
- Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends (i.e., Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays, and days off
- Ability to judge distances
- Ability to successfully communicate with others
