What You'll Do
- Develop and steer the technical AI/ML strategy within MBGC IT.
- Contribute to the vision and technical roadmap for data science, AI & ML benefits and concrete milestones.
- Plan, design, and manage the AI landscape in MBGC IT.
- Partner with business units to understand problems, discover use cases, and propose, design, and implement solutions.
- Drive adoption of a data-driven culture and industry best practices for MBGC data assets.
- Drive business process innovation with AI technologies and monitor technology trends.
- Architect end-to-end AI & GenAI solutions delivering measurable business impact across Mercedes-Benz China.
- Contribute to and share best practices, know-how, and participate in technical discussions and governance forums.
- Continuously research and evaluate new AI technologies to ensure Mercedes-Benz China remains at the forefront.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years in software/solutions architecture.
- 5+ years specializing in AI/ML/GenAI with a proven record shipping AI systems at scale.
- Familiar with common LLM architectural approaches (e.g., RAG, Agents), frameworks and tools (Langchain, Dify, HuggingFace) and fundamental principles.
- Familiar with common data mining algorithms (clustering/classification/regression/association rules/graph models) and other algorithm principles.
- Familiar with common machine learning algorithm principles (e.g., naïve Bayes/decision tree/random forest/logistic regression/SVM) and have relevant application experience.
- Familiar with the application of AI and algorithms in the intelligent manufacturing or marketing & sales area.
- Proficient in at least two programming languages: Python/Java/Scala/C++/C#, with solid coding ability.
- Experience working with Spark.
- Experience working with relational databases (MySQL/Postgresql/Oracle, etc.).
- Experience with DevOps practices: source control (git preferred), unit testing, CI/CD.
- Experience with agile software development (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience working in an agile team with internal and external resources.
- Experience in a multi-national company or multi-cultural environment.
- Data visualization knowledge (Power BI or Python plotting packages, etc.).
- Strong graph and statistical modeling experience and data analytics skills.
Nice to Have
- University degree (MA/PhD preferred) with a very strong academic background in operational research or related subjects (e.g., mathematics, statistics, computer science, data mining, machine learning, logistics engineering, physics or a related quantitative discipline).
- GraphDB experience.
