The Role As a Working Student in AI/LLM Engineering, you'll collaborate in designing, constructing, and assessing Intelligent AI systems that transform inquiries into dependable analytics and automated workflows. You'll engage across model prompting, tool utilization, data accessibility, and performance evaluation, working intimately with senior AI professionals on authentic enterprise scenarios. Tasks What you'll do: - Construct and enhance agentic workflows (function calling, strategic planning, self-validation) for analytics, summaries, visualizations, and task automation. - Develop connectors/interfaces linking Large Language Models with internal and external services. - Contribute to our FastAPI backend (implementing clean interfaces, Pydantic validation, comprehensive testing). - Create evaluation frameworks measuring precision, response time, and operational costs. - Refine prompting strategies, contextual retrieval, and execution approaches emphasizing privacy, dependability, and efficiency. - Implement containerized deployments using Docker and collaborate on Kubernetes infrastructure, continuous integration, and system observability. - Document strategic decisions and disseminate team learnings. Requirements What you bring: - Demonstrated experience with Large Language Models/AI agent architectures (function calling, retrieval-augmented generation, agent frameworks) and core Machine Learning principles. - Robust Python programming capabilities for production environments and data manipulation. - Comprehensive understanding of API interactions, microservices architecture, version control, and containerized development. - Exceptional problem-solving skills, transparent communication, and proactive professional approach. - Currently pursuing studies in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or related academic disciplines. Nice to have: - Advanced knowledge of retrieval infrastructures, database technologies. - Container orchestration and continuous integration expertise. - Frontend development capabilities. - Understanding of European privacy regulations. - Experience with self-hosted language models. - Knowledge of knowledge graph methodologies.
