Octave is looking for an AI Intern to assist in building and configuring AI agents that support developers in their workflow. You will be part of a team dedicated to improving productivity through automation and intelligent assistance.
What You'll Do
- Assist in building and configuring AI agents that support developers in coding, testing, reviews, and documentation.
- Use AI tools to help generate, refactor, and validate code across various projects.
- Help create automated tests (unit, integration, functional) using AI-assisted frameworks.
- Support development teams by evaluating AI-generated code and test outputs for correctness and quality.
- Document processes, findings, and best practices for team-wide use.
What We're Looking For
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related fields.
- Basic understanding of at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java, C#).
- Basic understanding of Git and version control workflows.
- Familiarity with at least one AI coding or documentation assistant, such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI Assistants, or Claude.
Nice to Have
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and willingness to iterate based on feedback.
- Passion for experimenting with AI-driven tools and automation.
- Some knowledge of using AI tools to write or refactor code, create unit/integration tests, and generate documentation.
- Exposure to test automation tools (PyTest, Jest, xUnit, etc.).
- Basic understanding of software design patterns and debugging.
