Jabil is looking for a Senior AI / Computer Vision Engineer to develop expertise in imaging science, computer vision, artificial intelligence, and ROS. You will participate in full product development through production, consult on system architectures, and build advanced algorithms.
What You'll Do
- Represent the AI / Computer Vision / ROS group in technical discussions and meetings.
- Stay abreast of the latest technologies to provide competitive and cost-effective designs.
- Raise the perception of Jabil's industry acumen by authoring or presenting technical papers.
- Lead the development of platform and product architectures in collaboration with technical staff.
- Perform independent research and engineering studies.
- Effectively consult on multiple projects in parallel.
- Develop state-of-the-art algorithms in the field of AI / Computer Vision / ROS.
- Translate existing imaging algorithms to the Jabil Robotics platform.
- Develop tools for implementing and using AI / ML / ROS designs.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5–7 years of hands-on experience in AI / Computer Vision and Robotics software development, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in AI and Computer Vision algorithm development.
- Proven experience implementing and optimizing computer vision solutions in robotics platforms.
- Solid experience working with ROS (Robot Operating System) in production environments.
- Experience designing system or platform architectures in AI / Robotics domains.
- Ability to analyze algorithms for performance trade-offs (accuracy, latency, compute, memory).
- Strong knowledge of Computational 3D Geometry.
- Experience working with robotics or mobile imaging acquisition platforms.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python for production-level development.
- Experience working with Linux, including real-time environments.
- Familiarity with modern code development frameworks.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
