Insight Enterprises seeks an AI Architect to oversee and guide the Agent Builder Factory, a suite of agile pods dedicated to driving AI transformation across lines of business. You will act as the technical visionary responsible for designing and maintaining the architectural framework that underpins AI initiatives, advising, mentoring, and collaborating with multiple agile teams and platform engineers.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain the architectural blueprint for the Agent Builder Factory, including defining standards, best practices, and patterns for building and deploying AI agents and applications.
- Act as the go-to architectural expert for agile pods, guiding teams in making sound technical decisions and ensuring solutions align with overall enterprise architecture.
- Partner with platform engineers to design and implement robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure, championing the use of Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Partner with product managers, data scientists, engineers, cybersecurity and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Implement and enforce architectural governance policies, conducting design reviews, audits, and providing continuous feedback.
- Stay current with emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and tools, evaluating new technologies and making recommendations for adoption.
- Provide technical mentorship to engineers and developers within the agile pods, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development.
- At least 3 years in an application or enterprise architecture role, specifically with a focus on AI, machine learning, or data-intensive applications.
- Deep expertise in cloud-native architectures.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML lifecycle management and MLOps principles.
- Extensive experience with Azure and GCP.
- Expertise with data lakehouse architectures, specifically Databricks.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Azure Bicep, or Pulumi.
- Proficiency in Java and Python is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and lead technical teams without direct authority.
- Proven ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with React for front-end development is a plus.

Benefits & Compensation
- Base salary: $200,000 - $210,000 annually.
- Variable incentive bonus.
Work Mode
This is a hybrid role. Locations include Chandler, AZ; Charlotte, NC; Austin, TX; and Chicago, IL.
