Engineer / Senior Electrical Specialist - Power Infrastructure

Role Responsibilities:
• Executing Medium and Low Voltage design work aligned with Distribution Network Operator standards
• Developing network design solutions including open and closed ring and radial feeder configurations
• Creating substation layout designs for power distribution systems
• Designing electrical system components, earthing grids, and protection mechanisms
• Developing technical specifications and supporting equipment procurement processes
• Collaborating with external suppliers and stakeholders
• Performing electrical system studies and network modeling
• Implementing arc-flash mitigation strategies
• Conducting design reviews and verification processes
Qualifications:
• Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
• Comprehensive understanding of British and DNO design standards
• Proven experience in electrical engineering within energy/power sectors
• Strong functional knowledge of power system characteristics
• Excellent team collaboration and communication skills
Preferred Additional Skills:
• Experience with engineering design governance structures
• Familiarity with pre-construction information and design risk assessments
• Expertise in Medium and High Voltage cable design
• Protection and control system knowledge
