Provides expert technical support and leadership within the Industrial Automation business unit. Responsible for troubleshooting complex technical systems, ensuring successful project delivery, and maintaining customer relationships through proactive service and advisory functions.
Responsibilities
- Keeps customers updated on technical alerts and advises on recommended corrective actions.
- Submits monthly reports to customers detailing activities and system health according to reporting guidelines.
- Acts as a trusted advisor to clients, collaborating with or independently supporting sales to recommend new technologies or services that deliver value.
- Supports awareness initiatives for breakthrough programs.
- Collaborates with Solution Architects to maintain automation plans.
- Provides technical leadership for maintenance service contracts or projects.
- Handles technical coordination and planning activities.
- Defines required deliverables in alignment with GPM standards.
- Works with Field Operations Managers or Service Contract Managers to develop project schedules.
- Ensures the quality and accuracy of all deliverables.
- Proactively manages project delivery and timelines, coordinating with customers and teams to meet deadlines and budgets.
- Maintains project data and leads gate reviews following Honeywell GPM practices.
- Engages early with Field Operations or Service Contract Managers to communicate resource needs.
- Acts as liaison with Technical Assistance Center to resolve technical issues effectively.
- Manages project risks and opportunities, keeping Field Operations and Service Contract Managers informed.
- Maintains an up-to-date cyber-database of installed systems by updating the central repository.
- Performs or ensures timely completion of cyber-preventative maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a senior Field Service Engineer.
- At least 4 years of documented experience in field service maintenance engineering.
- Holding a minimum of L3 certification in TPS, EPKS, and OPM.
- Engineering experience in project environments with commissioning and SAT exposure.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with VMware virtualization.
- Bachelor’s degree in a computer or electrical-related field such as Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Electronics/Electrical Engineering, with NBA approval required for Indian institutions.
- Strong technical expertise in industrial cyber security.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting skills for resolving complex network, application, or system integration issues.
Nice to Have
- CCNI and cybersecurity certification are strong advantages.
- CISSP Certified Information Systems Security Professional or equivalent security certification preferred.
- Preferred certification in CISCO Networking, Design, or Security (at least one).
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows security fundamentals.
- Experience conducting audits or assessments.
- Background in process control system design and implementation.
