Dwt is looking for an Administrative Legal Assistant to join our Seattle office. This entry-level role provides direct, task-based assistance to legal assistants and other administrative staff, supporting the firm's operations. The position follows a hybrid work model with one remote day per week.
What You'll Do
- Assist legal assistants and administrative staff with tasks like attorney time entry, preparing binders, and organizing paper and electronic files.
- Maintain electronic document files by downloading and saving content.
- Coordinate messenger, overnight delivery, or courier services as needed.
- Assist with travel arrangements and CLE registration.
- Help with new business intake tasks, including running conflicts checks and opening new client and matter files.
- Support expense and accounting tasks: preparing expense reports, processing vendor invoices, check requests, and reviewing prebills and invoices.
- Attend training classes and communicate clearly with team members on project status.
- Maintain regular, consistent attendance and punctuality.
What We're Looking For
- GED or High School Diploma.
- Ability to read and write English.
- Self-starter with a high degree of attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
- Ability to type 50+ words per minute accurately.
- Excellent grammar and proofreading skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and complete projects with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to learn new programs and updates.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, service-focused environment and handle stressful situations calmly.
