Purdue University is hiring an Adjunct Faculty member in Undergraduate Information Technology for Purdue University Global. This part-time, term-by-term position involves teaching online courses and providing quality educational experiences to adult learners in Associates, Bachelors, and Masters degree programs.
What You'll Do
- Provide a student-centered learning environment that enables student success.
- Teach synchronous or asynchronous seminars (10-week units) as assigned.
- Maintain school-determined virtual office hours per week for each class.
- Ensure timely management and response to electronic correspondence.
- Lead message board discussions and engage students in coursework.
- Partner with Academic Advisors to address student concerns and accommodate needs.
- Maintain and submit accurate, timely reports for student grades and progress.
- Deliver mid-term and final grades according to the academic calendar.
- Enforce student conduct policies as outlined in the University Catalog.
- Attend University, departmental, and faculty meetings as requested.
- Remain current with trends, techniques, and advances in technology for the program.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the School.
What We're Looking For
- A Master's degree in a business, IT, education, or psychology related field.
- Two to four years of related experience and/or training.
Nice to Have
- Online teaching experience.

- Compensation varies per course based on student enrollment and program type. A typical adjunct in the School of Business can expect to receive $2600 per full 10-week course.
