Strayer University is looking for an Adjunct Faculty member to teach online graduate-level courses in Human Resources Management. In this fully remote role, you will leverage your professional expertise to deliver a high-quality academic experience, mentor students, and contribute to a culture of academic excellence.
What You'll Do
- Teach assigned courses from a pre-designed curriculum, utilizing professional expertise to provide high-quality instruction.
- Enhance the curriculum through the use of technology and videos.
- Utilize the online learning platform to enrich the student learning experience.
- Be available to students via email, phone, text, and office hours to provide timely, quality feedback.
- Establish high standards and ensure students understand how they will be evaluated.
- Adhere to University policies and procedures.
- Attend faculty meetings and workshops or training as required.
What We're Looking For
- 5 years of professional experience in Human Resources Management.
- Doctorate Degree in Human Resources Management, Human Resources Development, and Organizational Resources Management, Leadership, Organizational Development OR
- Doctorate degree with 27 doctorate quarter credit hours (18 semester credit hours) in Human Resources (e.g., Human Resource Analytics and Management, Strategic Human Resource Management) OR
- Doctorate Degree in a Business-related discipline with a Master’s Degree with 27 graduate quarter credit hours (18 semester credit hours) in Human Resources Management or Human Resources Development.
- Proficiency in oral presentation skills, planning, and organizing of course objectives.
- Strong computer skills (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage potentially stressful situations in a professional and ethical manner.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the University.
- Demonstrated knowledge of academic technology and academic evaluation.
- Professional certification in discipline specialty (if applicable).
- Ability to meet physical requirements: lift 1 lb, mobility between floors, work using a computer, and effectively cope with stressful situations.
- Strong mental acuity.
