Drive the design and implementation of acoustic testing strategies for audio hardware across manufacturing environments. You will work closely with engineering teams and external partners to define, refine, and validate test methodologies that ensure product performance meets rigorous standards. Your work will directly influence product quality and production efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Develop and manage acoustic test plans for new products in partnership with engineering and manufacturing teams
- Conduct hands-on measurements to troubleshoot and verify test processes when needed
- Monitor program timelines, identify risks, and ensure deliverables are met on schedule
- Analyze production test data to uncover trends and recommend improvements
- Collaborate with contract manufacturers to align their testing practices with technical requirements
- Travel periodically to support product builds and conduct audits at manufacturing sites
- Produce clear reports and presentations summarizing technical outcomes and program status
- Build dashboards to track performance across a growing portfolio of products
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in acoustics, audio testing, or test engineering roles
- Strong grasp of acoustic principles, measurement techniques, and DSP fundamentals
- Proven ability to manage multiple technical projects simultaneously
- Effective communication skills for engaging with engineers and stakeholders
- Proficiency with PCs, Windows, and networked systems
- Experience collaborating with global teams across time zones
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, acoustics, audio engineering, or a related technical field
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with active noise cancellation technology
- Experience using MATLAB or similar engineering analysis tools
- Programming experience and deeper DSP knowledge
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering, acoustics, or a related discipline
Technical Environment
Work primarily with Windows-based systems, DSP frameworks, and engineering software including MATLAB. Engage with networked test environments and embedded audio platforms.

Work Mode
This is an onsite role based in Framingham, Massachusetts. The schedule includes occasional evening collaboration due to international team coordination and 2–3 annual trips (typically one week each) to domestic or international manufacturing locations.
