About the Role

Responsibilities
- Process and verify research-related invoices and payments
- Track funding allocations across multiple clinical studies
- Reconcile project accounts on a monthly basis
- Support audit preparation for research grants
- Ensure compliance with federal and institutional financial guidelines
- Maintain accurate records of research expenditures
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements for sponsors
- Monitor budget utilization and report variances
- Collaborate with research teams on funding requirements
- Submit timely financial documentation for reporting cycles
- Review cost transfers for regulatory compliance
- Coordinate with external partners on billing matters
- Update accounting systems with current research project data
- Identify discrepancies in financial records and resolve them
- Assist in year-end close processes for research accounts
- Prepare journal entries specific to clinical trial funding
- Validate allowable costs under grant agreements
- Support internal reviews of research financial activity
- Communicate with principal investigators regarding account status
