Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger and financial reporting processes
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies
- Supervise and train accounting staff
- Implement and maintain internal controls and procedures
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures
- Analyze financial data to support decision-making
- Prepare and review budget and forecast reports
- Manage the fixed asset accounting process
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate financial information
- Review and approve journal entries and adjustments
- Manage the payroll process and ensure compliance with payroll regulations
- Prepare and review tax returns and related filings
- Manage the cash management process and ensure adequate liquidity
- Review and approve expense reports and reimbursements
- Manage the inventory accounting process and ensure accurate inventory records
- Prepare and review financial analyses and variance reports
- Manage the intercompany accounting process and ensure accurate financial information
- Review and approve vendor invoices and payments

- Master's degree in Accounting or related field
- Experience with property and casualty insurance accounting

- Experience with insurance financial analysis and reporting
