About the Role

Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly close process and ensure timely financial reporting
- Supervise preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions
- Ensure adherence to GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Oversee fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities with accurate financial data
- Maintain general ledger integrity and resolve discrepancies
- Implement internal controls to safeguard financial assets
- Streamline accounting processes for improved efficiency
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff
- Develop and document standard operating procedures for accounting functions
- Assist in tax preparation and filings
- Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with IT on accounting system enhancements
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to financial systems
- Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Oversee sales tax calculations and remittances
