Banco Guayaquil S.A. is looking for an Accounting Analyst to ensure the integrity and compliance of our core financial operations. You will be responsible for the accurate recording of transactions, preparation of financial reports, and the design of internal controls, working closely with various business units.
What You'll Do
- Record and account for accounting entries according to current standards and policies.
- Ensure the accounting compliance of all operations, guaranteeing they adhere to internal policies and applicable regulations.
- Prepare and present daily, monthly, and annual financial statements, ensuring their accuracy and timeliness.
- Address and resolve accounting inquiries from business units, providing technical support and specialized criteria.
- Issue reports of accounting mismatches versus applications, perform analysis, and follow up on required regularizations.
- Develop and submit financial structures and information requested by regulatory control entities.
- Design, implement, and monitor the internal control framework for operations impacting the integrity of accounting figures.
- Manage and analyze large volumes of data, applying accounting criteria for decision-making and detecting inconsistencies.
- Meet the delivery deadlines for reports to end users.
- Reconcile and report pending items in departmental tests that could generate losses or recording of immobilized liabilities.
- Ensure control of the bank's interfaces across its various products and understand automatic processes with their respective interfaces.
- Manage duly reconciled and balanced departmental tests from responsible areas.
- Supervise daily regularizations with the respective approval of accounting entries in the system.
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing a university degree in CPA, Commercial Engineering, Economics, or related fields.
- More than 2 years in similar accounting positions.
- Demonstrable work experience in accounting, auditing, and team management.
- Experience in analyzing accounting accounts for financial institutions.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles, laws, and regulations for financial institutions.
- Excellent data analytical capabilities.
- Strong background in bank accounting.
- Basic English proficiency.
- Proficiency with FTP, WinSCP, and internet tools.
- Familiarity with the single chart of accounts.
- Knowledge of regulations from control organisms.
- Understanding of anti-money laundering prevention.
- Proficiency with Office utilities.
