About the Role We are recruiting a proficient Accountant with a proactive approach and meticulous attention to detail to integrate into our Finance team. This position will report directly to the VP of Finance and be accountable for managing daily accounting operations, ensuring precise financial reporting, and supporting regulatory compliance requirements. The optimal candidate will demonstrate robust analytical capabilities, comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and experience thriving in dynamic, growth-oriented environments. Responsibilities - Maintain precise general ledger accounts and perform monthly reconciliations - Prepare and scrutinize journal entries, accruals, and adjustments - Execute month-end and year-end closing processes - Generate financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders - Manage accounts payable and receivable processes - Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations - Collaborate with external auditors - Identify process and technological improvements to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline - Minimum 3 years of professional accounting experience - Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards - Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel - Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities - Capacity to operate independently and collaboratively within team environments Preferred: - Experience in manufacturing or construction sectors - Familiarity with project finance and special purpose entity management - Grant funding and compliance management background - Audit participation or execution experience - CPA certification or progression towards obtaining certification Benefits - Base salary: $70,000 - $110,000 - Stock options - Flexible paid time off - Paid parental leave - Comprehensive medical, dental, vision coverage - 401k retirement plan Location - Fully remote work environment - Must reside and possess work authorization within the United States
