About the Role

Capri is looking for an Account Executive Italy – Wholesale Sales for a maternity cover position based in Milan. You will support the Senior Account Executive and team to meet and exceed wholesale territory plans, implement sales-driving strategies, and manage part of the Italian business counting overall 13ML across the region.

What You'll Do

  • Support the Senior Account Executive and team to meet and exceed wholesale territory plans.
  • Implement sales-driving strategies and develop strong relationships with wholesale partners by training on brand standards.
  • Manage part of the Italian business and aim to build the brand profile and increase volume, distribution, and profit.
  • Manage the business in line with the strategy for the region based on global goals and achieve budgets (bookings).
  • Work with planning, store buying teams, and Retail Development to ensure Retail sales plans are achieved each week.
  • Maintain an always-updated forecasts file and conduct in-season trading with the planning team to maximize opportunities.
  • Handle seasonal market and sales campaign preparations and use all available company information to drive efficiency and results.
  • Provide weekly business updates to the Senior AE and conduct store visits to existing and potential new accounts.
  • Work with CS and Finance to check weekly shipping and finance reports, raising issues to stores.
  • Ensure shipping of product is on time and cleared before the end of each season working with CS, Finance, and Logistics.
  • Align with Retail Development for business needs and focus on maximizing sales through correct seasonal buys.
  • Review current selling style by style and react accordingly, and review best/slow sellers for merchandising calls.
  • Explore new business opportunities and always act as an ambassador for the company.
  • Develop strong partnerships and maintain excellent interpersonal skills with store buying teams and internal teams.
  • Collaborate closely with other team members in Milan and other countries.
  • Hold monthly and seasonal meetings with retailers to ensure synchronization of business plans.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitors and marketplace trends and ensure feedback is shared.
  • Raise orders on the TB system and send downloads to CS, and use Qlik to overview the business.
  • Proactively check that the booking report matches orders raised prior to market deadline.
  • Notify customers of cancellations and suggest replacement items where applicable.
  • Ensure all customers know when to contact customer services.
  • Book showroom appointments, update diaries, and maintain seasonal account lists.
  • Manage customer account queries and forward/resolve them with CS/Finance.
  • Update customers with the latest press and relevant information.
  • Support the showroom coordinator in organizing samples and presentations.

  • 5+ years of wholesale experience in a premium/luxury environment.
  • Fluent spoken English.
  • Capability to partner with internal colleagues to address business challenges.
  • Ability to adapt communication style, tools, and approach to meet the needs of different audiences.
  • Ability to drive results, lead self and others, and set stretch goals in an evolving environment.
  • Entrepreneurial skills, capability to make things happen using out-of-the-box thinking and a willingness to take risks.
