About the Role
This role is responsible for driving new business and managing key client relationships within the insurance sector, focusing on licensing and continuing education solutions. The Account Executive will leverage deep industry knowledge and a proactive sales approach to achieve revenue goals and support long-term client success.
Responsibilities
- Acquire new clients and manage existing accounts for insurance licensing and continuing education products
- Manage a designated portfolio of clients and deliver against annual revenue goals
- Generate new business through targeted prospecting, cold outreach, research, and networking efforts
- Conduct daily sales tasks such as scheduling meetings, delivering virtual and in-person presentations, demonstrating products, and issuing quotes
- Maintain strong client relationships with prompt follow-up, including 24-hour responses to inbound and marketing-generated leads
- Communicate regularly with clients about product updates, changes, and enhancements
- Work closely with sales leadership, client services, and operations teams to support account planning and retention strategies
- Ensure accurate customer records and alignment across internal stakeholders
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences as needed
- Travel as required to support client engagements and business development
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in B2B sales, account management, or business development, preferably in strategic or key account roles
- Demonstrated success in managing strategic accounts and exceeding revenue targets
- Background in insurance, financial services, professional services, or related sectors
- Familiarity with continuing education, professional development, or compliance training environments
- Proven ability to navigate complex organizations and build relationships at all levels
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities with a focus on translating client needs into solutions
- Self-driven with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Willingness to travel based on business requirements
