Cole Valley Christian Schools is hiring a 6th Grade History Teacher to join our Middle School staff. In this role, you will teach history classes, integrating a biblical worldview into all instruction while partnering with Christian families to shepherd students toward their potential to impact the world for Jesus Christ.
What You'll Do
- Teach 6th grade history classes in alignment with school curriculum and academic standards.
- Plan and implement Christ-centered instruction in lesson plans with a biblical foundation for all units.
- Establish a positive, respectful, and structured classroom environment that encourages student participation and learning.
- Develop and administer assignments, tests, and projects to assess student understanding and progress.
- Grade student work and provide constructive feedback to support learning.
- Keep detailed records of student performance and progress, including grades, attendance, and behavior.
- Communicate effectively with parents, faculty, and administration.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
- Uphold and model the Cole Valley Christian Schools Statement of Faith, mission, and core values.
- Supervise students during assigned duties (e.g., before and/or after school, lunch, events) as needed.

- Ability to navigate Microsoft applications and online tools.
- Classroom training, coursework and/or experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in history, social studies, education or related field.
- Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in education must hold an endorsement in history or social studies.
- State teaching certificate, or ability to obtain.
- Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) teaching certificate, or ability to obtain.

Compensation follows our teacher salary schedule, which starts at $45,000. Actual salary depends on experience and education.
