Prisma International, Inc. is seeking a 508 Accessibility / Remediation Specialist to serve as a subject matter expert ensuring our digital products, documents, and communications are inclusive and fully compliant with Section 508 and WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA standards. Your work will be integral to providing equitable access to all citizens.
What You'll Do
- Remediate digital documents (PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX) to ensure correct tagging for 508 compatibility.
- Ensure video content includes accurate closed captioning, transcripts, and audio descriptions.
- Assist with accessibility audits on state websites, mobile applications, and software.
- Utilize Assistive Technologies to simulate user experiences and identify access barriers.
- Validate code against W3C/WAI standards.
- Collaborate with project managers to understand project specifications.
- Maintain a professional, results-oriented performance.
- Perform assigned tasks by given due dates.
What We're Looking For
- Three (3) years of experience performing 508 accessibility and remediation for federal or state government entities.
- At least one current professional certification from the listed acceptable organizations.
- Exceptional technical skills as a 'power user' of Assistive Technology software (screen readers, screen magnifiers, speech recognition).
- Advanced expertise and technical knowledge of Accessibility Checker remediation software.
- Proficiency using built-in Accessibility Checkers in PDFs, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Advanced (expert) skill in simplex and complex PDF elements: tables, embedded media, graphics, graphs, maps, flowcharts, interactive formulas, and unique symbols.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail.

- Familiarity with non-English languages.
