EXTRA Immobilien Gruppe GmbH is seeking a paid IT & Automation Intern to join its tech subsidiary. You will apply your skills to build AI services and agents, design automation workflows, and contribute directly to production-grade systems that enhance our real estate operations.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain AI agents with capabilities for task-oriented workflows, tool use, and memory.
- Design robust automation workflows using tools like n8n and Zapier, implementing webhooks, retries, error handling, and monitoring.
- Implement vector database pipelines for data ingestion, embeddings, indexing, retrieval, and evaluation.
- Contribute to AI calling agents, including call flow design, STT/TTS integration, and CRM updates.
- Develop Python utilities and services for orchestration, testing, and system integration.
- Collaborate effectively using Git, participate in code reviews, and write clear documentation and small test cases.
What We're Looking For
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science or a related field of study.
- First hands-on experience with Python and/or automation tools like n8n or Zapier and working with APIs.
- Curiosity about LLMs and AI agents, with a willingness to learn prompting, evaluation, and safety practices.
- A basic grasp of HTTP/REST, Git, and JSON, combined with a structured and independent work style.
- Fluent communication skills in English.
Nice to Have
- Proficiency in French or Arabic (Darija) is a plus.
Technical Stack
- AI & LLMs: Claude (prompting, tool use, function calling) and other providers.
- Automation: n8n / Zapier for workflow automation.
- Data: Vector DBs (e.g., pgvector/Chroma/Pinecone/Weaviate) and embedding pipelines.
- Development: Python, REST APIs/webhooks, JSON, simple queues/retry logic.
- Collaboration: MS 365 (Outlook/Teams/SharePoint), Git/GitHub, issue tracker.
- Business Context: HubSpot, telephony APIs, WhatsApp Business/Superchat.
Team & Environment
You will join a new team of 7 developers, working under German leadership with direct mentoring. You will collaborate closely with the software lead based in Germany.
