RemoteVA PH is looking for a 3D Image Conversion Specialist (Crystal Engraving) to transform high-resolution 2D portrait images into precise 3D bas-relief point cloud models for subsurface laser engraving. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented specialist with a strong grasp of image processing and technical formatting.
What You'll Do
- Convert 2D images (JPEG/PNG) into 3D point cloud models featuring raised facial features for a bas-relief effect.
- Enhance image clarity and contrast to optimize depth and detail in the final 3D output.
- Ensure compatibility of point cloud files with engraving machine formats, such as OBJ.
- Scale and align models to match specific crystal dimensions, like a 5cm cube.
- Perform quality checks and deliver engraving-ready files for production.
What We're Looking For
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software (e.g., Blender, MeshLab, or equivalent).
- Experience with point cloud generation and manipulation.
- Familiarity with subsurface laser engraving or similar precision manufacturing processes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict formatting specifications.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple image conversions efficiently.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of bas-relief modeling techniques.
- Experience in image enhancement and depth mapping.
- Understanding of OBJ file structure and compatibility standards.
