M&T Bank is seeking candidates for its 2026 Community Branch Internship Program, a structured 10-week summer experience designed to build foundational skills in Retail Banking. Interns will immerse in the M&T culture through workshops, networking, and guest speakers, gaining direct exposure to customer relationship management and banking fundamentals.

What You'll Do

Play a key role in Customer Relationship Management through proactive outreach and servicing.
Identify financial needs of customers and present appropriate options.
Onboard new customers and establish trust with existing customers.
Service customers to gain a fundamental understanding of Retail Banking.
Complete duties of an entry-level professional nature specific to your assigned area.
Ensure activities adhere to established internal policies and external regulations.
Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls.
Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
Design, implement, maintain, and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk.
Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of audit points.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
