Nortal is seeking a Senior Backend Python Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems that power our client applications. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, efficient, and secure solutions.

What You'll Do

Guide the design and development of client platforms and systems.
Improve features, scalability, and reliability by participating in technical and process improvements.
Participate in scoping and designing new API features and subsystems.
Work closely with other client service teams to build systems that scale to millions of customers globally across multiple cloud platforms.
Participate in healthy engineering practices, including code reviews, software design documents, and test automation.

What We're Looking For

A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience working with Python and Django web development.
5+ years of experience working with SQL.
Experience with Celery or other background task runners.
Experience with consumer-facing applications and exposure to web or mobile front ends.
An Advanced English Level for working with US-based clients.
