ju:niz Energy GmbH seeks a Kubernetes Architect for a 12-month+ contract to architect and implement a highly available, disconnected edge Kubernetes platform using K3S on bare metal. This is a high-impact project for next-generation industrial systems with a global leader in electronics and manufacturing.
What You'll Do
- Architect and implement a highly available, disconnected edge Kubernetes platform using K3S.
- Design and configure Kubernetes storage, networking, and CNI plugins for robust, scalable clusters.
- Manage deployments with Rancher and enable GitOps workflows using ArgoCD.
- Work with DevOps and infrastructure teams to develop resilient solutions for bare metal environments.
- Support testing, documentation, and tuning for production-grade edge setups.
What We're Looking For
- 10–15 years of experience in systems architecture.
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes (K3S) and bare metal deployments.
- Hands-on experience with Rancher, ArgoCD, and Kubernetes networking/storage stacks.
- Strong programming or scripting skills in Python and/or Golang.
- Familiar with virtualization, edge computing, and air-gapped environments.
- Proactive mindset, strong troubleshooting skills, and excellent collaboration abilities.
