Sedgwick is looking for a Workers Compensation Claims Examiner to analyze claims on behalf of our clients, ensuring timely adjudication and innovative solutions. In this remote role, you will determine benefits due and manage claims within established best practices.
What You'll Do
- Analyze and process claims by investigating and gathering information to determine exposure.
- Negotiate settlement of claims within your designated authority.
- Communicate claim activity and processing with claimants and clients.
- Report claims to excess carriers and respond professionally to requests for directions.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of claims management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Required licensing for relevant jurisdictions.
- Jurisdiction knowledge of PA, WV, MD, VA, DC, TN, SC, NC.
Nice to Have
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Professional certification as applicable to the line of business.
