Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, Inc. is looking for a Patient Transporter to join our team. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of patients, specimens, equipment, and materials throughout our facility. What You'll Do
- Transport patients, specimens, equipment, supplies, and linen throughout the hospital as needed.
- Collect biohazard waste, sharps containers, and soiled linen from various hospital locations.
- Receive transport assignments from the coordinator and complete them promptly.
- Notify dispatch upon completion of an assignment and receive your next task.
- Complete quarterly equipment cleaning.
- Attend monthly meetings.
- Perform other duties and tasks as required.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English: oral, written, and typed.
- Ability to converse with patients and staff in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Must be able to follow instructions, whether printed or verbal.
- Must be able to be on your feet for most of the shift.
- Must be able to help transfer patients from beds to stretchers and wheelchairs.
Nice to Have
- High school education or equivalent.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $18.10 - $24.36 per hour.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position located at 1153 Centre Street.
