Join Sigma Software as a WordPress Developer to build robust, scalable solutions on WordPress CMS. You will join a dedicated team working on creative landing pages, corporate websites, and complex technical projects like plugin and application development.
What You'll Do
- Code, develop integration tests, debug, document, implement, and maintain portions of software.
- Promote good design principles, such as code reuse, modularity, and extensibility.
- Assist test engineers and support personnel in solving technical issues of software installation and its operation.
- Perform code reviews for compliance with the best engineering practices, coding standards, and quality criteria set forth on the project.
- Continuously participate in technical risk identification and analysis, immediately notify the project manager of new risks identified, and suggest a mitigation strategy.
- Report status and progress according to the project and company requirements.
- Contribute to the creation of technical specifications.
- Participate in estimation and planning sessions.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with WordPress CMS, including themes/plugins development and customization.
- Knowledge of the most popular WordPress plugins and practices (cache, security, E-commerce, etc.).
- Solid experience with MySQL (MariaDB).
- Solid experience with popular web server configurations (Apache, nginx).
- Good knowledge of Docker and the Linux ecosystem.
- Ability to find narrow places and fix them through profiling, performance increases, and analysis.
- Experience with Git and GitFlow.
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts (Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.).
- Upper-Intermediate level of spoken and written English.
Nice to Have
- Good Front-end development skills (HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Vue.js).
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming and SOLID principles.
- Knowledge of Amazon Web Services.
