We are recruiting a meticulous and strategic Product Engineer for our George Town, Malaysia team. This role is critical in driving HDD-Media-Head performance characterization and innovation. Job Responsibilities: - Direct Media Process Engineering team to optimize HDD media performance - Collaborate across functional teams to refine product specifications - Enhance existing products for improved yield, cost-efficiency, and manufacturability - Support media performance optimization from development to high-volume production - Monitor industry technological trends and manufacturing processes - Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations - Advance manufacturing digitalization initiatives - Implement data-driven decision-making using advanced analytics - Leverage AI/ML models for predictive yield, reliability, and performance analysis - Develop and maintain real-time performance monitoring dashboards Qualifications: - Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering - 2-3 years manufacturing or semiconductor industry experience - Proficient in data analytics tools (JMP, Minitab, SQL) - Python/R data science expertise - HDD/Media process knowledge preferred - Up-to-date with Industry 4.0 technologies - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent project management capabilities - Strong communication and teamwork skills - Occasional travel willingness - Cloud analytics platform experience (Azure, AWS) advantageous Additional Information: Western Digital champions diversity, believing varied perspectives drive innovation.
